I just want people to know about this product. I've been changing out my 87 year old mother's pouch system for almost 2 years now and just started using the Brava Stips. This was the missing link in a complete system! It seals the flange on to the skin so securely that I am no longer called over to handle a pouch accident emergency. I now have a few more days of freedom during the week as it has extended the wear time by at least 2 days....and more...I just don't want to find out how much more so I still change regularly.
I am so glad I found the Brava Strips!

If you're an ostomate who has any apprehensions about your barrier and pouch separating from your body, Coloplast Barrier Strips can provide great peace of mind. These crescent-shaped adhesive strips cover the edge of the barrier's adhesive and secure it to your skin. They are strong, highly flexible and require Universal Remover Wipes to easily remove them. The company suggests one per application, but having had a couple of unhappy experiences with barrier-and-pouch falling away before these came on the market, I err on the side of caution: using two crescent strips, which forms almost a full circle around the barrier.
