The strong catheter funnel resists kinking or collapsing while aspirating.
The plastic valves conveniently accept luer lock and luer slip syringes.

I have used these catheters forever for a parapubic cath. I just started with a new agency which was using their catheters. I started having bladder spams and accidents. We couldn't figure out what was going on until I compared their compositions. Both brands are latex, but Finnegan's was silicone coated. It seems to do the trick. I switched back to them (with the blessing of my nurses) and no longer have a problem. At this price I don't mind buying them myself!
